Ever since Eddie was about 3 or 4, he has had so much interest in maps, globes, continents...geography in general. Last year, he began to learn the state capitols. He had huge interest in the California state capitol and asked if it was possible to go there. Gerardo and I showed him pictures, but he still wanted to BE there.
This year was the year he would have his wish come true!

We left Friday night and spent the night at my cousins in Bakersfield. The next morning, our ride was only 4 hours.
Eddie did very well BOTH ways! Very patient! He's a great traveler!

In this picture, I asked someone to take it. I put Eddie on my hip and he got so upset and embarrassed. He wouldn't even hold my hand. He quickly told me not to do that anymore because he was too old. Then, he posed next to me. The picture came out dark and we couldn't retake it so I edited it to brighten it as much as possible.
