My favorite memory this morning

I dropped off Eddie today, knowing I will not see him until the evening. I was sad, but tried to keep my head and spirits up for him. Gerardo has offered to keep me at home, but if I stay home, Eddie will not be eligible to go to school in Diamond Bar.

Eddie walks in to class quiet, but confident. I like that he shakes his teacher's hands and says "Good morning."

My favorite memory of this morning is when I kissed him "Goodbye" and he said "Mmmm momma, you smell good."

I love this little boy. It's gonna be so difficult to be without him today. But it was bound to happen sooner or later. I am just such an emotional mama....Gonna miss my quality time with my boy.

Eddie lately

I stopped blogging as much after Eddie had his seizure.I wanted to spend more time with him and be on the laptop less. I have even stopped uploading videos to my youtube channel (my part time job) to avoid being online as much.

Eddie's last seizure really shook me up on a lot of things in life. It made me remember how fragile we all are. Spending time with Eddie lately has been fun, and I am glad that I am doing it more often.

Now, I was told at work that I have to return full time, as of last week Thursday, after being part time for about 4 years. I can't tell you how happy I am that I made the decision to give up what I did for the last few months. Though I was making less money, the extra time I got to have with Eddie was worth it. I had no idea I would be asked to return full time so soon.
Now, I must return to work. I can't lie; I am more sad than I ever have been. But I have to do what is right for financial reasons.

Lately, Eddie has been riding his bike a lot. But, he doesn't want to ride his regular bike, he enjoys riding his balance bike again. Which is fine for me. I don't mind. At one point, I thought to force him to ride his bike, since he has "graduated" from the balance bike, but then I thought..."Why?" He enjoys it so much, I don't see a reason to force him to ride his regular bike. We go for walks together and enjoy being outside.

Also, lately he has been asking me to take him to "Tio Carlos' house" to see his primas. They have fun together, even with the way that Eddie is (likes to fight.)  I like that Eddie is growing up close to his cousins. I always wanted Eddie to have siblings, but since he will not, his primas will be his sisters :)

Eddie spends a lot of time drawing, which is kind of new to us. For a long time, he had no interest in drawing. Now, he draws houses, traffic lights, a friendly tooth, people he knows, characters from his favorite shows (Yo Gabba Gabba), fire hydrants and the list goes on. He also likes to sound out words and spell/write them on paper. Mama is spelled "Momo" Papa is spelled "Popaa" I haven't corrected him yet, just because I enjoy seeing his spell guess of different words.

He also likes to text dad on my cell phone. It's pretty cute and funny.

It's going to be tough to see Eddie less during the week. But I knew the day would come.  So, I have to prepare myself emotionally. Now, I will know how dad has felt all this time.

I know Eddie will be ok, because he is so strong. I will upload photos soon...
