Eddie pronounces the word girl, as grill.
Last night, Eddie was pondering a gender topic before he fell asleep. This was what he said out loud to dad and I:
"Mama's a grill and papa is a boy."
"I am a boy like papa..... "
"I hope I don't grow up to be a grill."
Dad and I just had to laugh, but not before dad gave Eddie a high five lol!
Eddie, you changed our lives. You are growing so fast. Impressing us and everyone who loves you with your intelligence and sensibilities. Your joy for life and cautious loving nature melts hearts. You have shown tremendous strength and tenacity for your intent and desires. You give us so much hope for the future and confidence in the great man you will one day become. We adore every moment we spend with you. We love you! 9-2015

Mourning his great grandmother
Eddie has said a lot of surprisingly mature comments since his great grandmother (who was his best friend) passed away.
Here are some moments that I can remember that just break my heart:
_______________________________________________________________
Scenario: Eddie and I laying on the bed together before he falls asleep
Eddie (voice cracks): I wish Mama Cochita did not go to heaven.
Me: Me too baby. I miss her too.
Eddie (crying): I want her to come back.
Me (crying): She is always with you, baby. Close your eyes and talk to her.
Eddie (Closes his eyes and laughs a little, while crying): I can see her!
Me: See? I told you!!!!! What is she doing?
Eddie: She is saying "No llores" [Don't cry] and she is petting me. :))))
_______________________________________________________________
Scenario: Eddie and I are going up the escalators.
Eddie: We are going up, up and up like Mama Cochita when she went to heaven!
_______________________________________________________________
Scenario: Eddie playing and having fun
Me: Wow, you are so happy!
Eddie: YEAH! And Mama Cochita is watching me from heaven! She likes me happy!
_______________________________________________________________
Scenario: Eddie and I driving home from school.
Eddie (Quietly looking out the window)
Me: What are you thinking about?
Eddie: Mama Cochita
Me: Want to watch a video of her?
Eddie: Yes!
Me (I hand him the phone, show him the video below)
Eddie (laughing in excitement): Yeah! That's me and Mama Cochita. I love her.

My big baby boy
The other day, I went to pick up my baby boy and realized how big he is! He's more than half my size and is only 4 years old!
He still likes to be held and I am taking advantage of THAT for now! LOL

Eddie likes this halloween song
Eddie currently likes this Halloween song.
It's from the show Yo Gabba Gabba and it's called "It's Halloween"

After Eddie's first day
Grandma says that Eddie's teacher said he did very well on his first day at Pre-K. His teacher also said that he is definitely ready for kindergarten; matter of fact, he is one of the smartest kids in his class already!
This morning, dad dropped him off for Eddie's 2nd day of school.
I called dad a little while ago to ask how Eddie did. Dad said that Eddie was saying "I go to this school Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday" The school is the same place where he goes to church :) Also, dad says that Eddie did not cry and went straight to his classroom.
I am glad that Eddie is adapting quicker than when he first started school. It makes me feel more comfortable as I work. I am so proud of our little boy :)
